An authentic washstand produced by Jacob & Josef Kohn — the principal rival of Thonet across the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Crafted from steam-bent beechwood and ebonised to a deep, lustrous finish. Model № 3153 is documented in the original company catalogue as “Lavabo avec dessus et étagère marbre, glace, tiroir et deux porte-serviettes” — a washstand with mirror, drawer, and two towel rails.

A refined and practical piece reflecting the transition from late Art Nouveau to early Art Deco design. Appearance and functionality. This piece stands out for its balanced proportions and flowing bentwood lines. The upper mirror and small shelf provide both visual lightness and everyday functionality, while the single drawer and lower shelf offer convenient storage.
